Hatred against Christians

It seems that the Democrat Party really hates Christians because they take every opportunity to rid our society of all references to Christ, the Cross, and of course our belief in the sanctity of life. In the book of Matthew, there is a conversation between Jesus and a Pharisee.

Mat 22:36-40 ESV  “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?”  (37)  And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.  (38)  This is the great and first commandment.  (39)  And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.  (40)  On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.”

Now Jesus has just said something that I think a lot of the people in the Democrat Party have forgotten, I say this because I do not see a whole lot of love between them and those of us who are citizens of this nation. What has transpired this past couple of weeks has been nothing short of horrifying. Insane people taking innocent lives with unspeakable violence. that goes without saying a terrible act. What followed, however, was even worse simply because the Democrat Party especially those running for President blamed the President of the United States for the violence. Some even went so far as to say he was directly responsible, as if, he had ordered the death of all those people.

This President has worked to be the President of all the people, not just some of them. He has also acted in ways that work to preserve the reality of the Republic. Sanctity of life, love of country, reverence for the Constitution. He has worked to change laws where he could and to mitigate wrongs, such as a life sentence for a minor drug conviction. Yet we hear from the Democrat Party, that he hates blacks, Hispanics, women, and Muslims. Yet he has not acted in any way against any of these groups. Yes, he has limited immigration from certain countries, yet those countries don’t have any way to tell you who is or is not one of their citizens. He has tried to block terrorists from using the chaos in the middle east to gain entry into our nation.

As for as being against blacks, women or any other group, where is the evidence of that? Each of the groups in our nation now have full employment and are enjoying the fruits of their labors. As for Muslims, I have not seen any animosity by this President against this group, I have seen him calling out Muslims who have been attacking our nation, and himself, but then he does that to others as well.

So, to get back to the main topic, hatred against Christians in our nation. I find it very difficult to see why the Democrat Party hates God, the people in the House of Representatives, have done away with “so help me God” in the swearing in ceremonies, which of course is another indication of wanting to get God out of the way of what they are looking to accomplish. They seem to want dead babies, even after birth in some states now. This nation was founded by men who believed that God was an integral part of their lives. We find Jefferson inviting clergy to come to the Capitol to bring the word on Sunday mornings. The Congress even funded the publication of bibles to bring to the Indians to show them about God and to perhaps bring some to Jesus.

Now here we are today, the Democrats are working to remove God from everywhere they can, from the walls of State and City buildings, school buildings, even many courthouses. I cannot understand why that is, Jesus said that we are to love our neighbor as ourself and yet here we find hatred for over 50% of our nation. President Obama talked about people who cling to their guns and their Bibles. Hillary Clinton called us deplorables, as well as homophobes, and other names. There are many who are against homosexual persons, but we don’t hate them, we see them as in need of Jesus just as we ourselves have needed Jesus Christ to show us how to live.

There is evil in this land, and as a Christian man, I will fight evil with all my strength. I believe that the hatred I see in our land is evil, and is spawned by Satan to destroy our nation. Just as I look on socialism as an evil and vile type of violence against the people of this great nation. We fought the cold war to end the scourge of socialism in our world. We fought WW II to end the socialist nations of the Axis in Europe. Germany and Italy were both socialist nations, just as Russia was.

Today this evil is raising its ugly head in Russia, China and other places in our world. China is working to eradicate Christianity from their land, but making Churches take down crosses and rid themselves of Bibles, and worship the State. They are also imprisoning Muslims as well, in re-education camps.
So this is to be the future for those nations, and the Democrat Party is trying to make it the future for us in America. I see that if they win power in the House, Senate and the White House they will run roughshod over all of us.

Repeal and Replace?

For seven years the Republicans have been asking voters to give them the House and Senate so they could repeal and replace Obamacare, then they said they needed the Presidency as well. Now they have all three, and when did they start working to repeal and replace Obamacare? This year after the President was inaugurated, they never seriously had anything that would repeal or replace Obamacare, it was all a shell game.

Now they have been called on their words, and what has happened, first the House with the weak House speaker, in his years in the House he has accomplished nothing, and his speakership is the same tired old nothing. Of course once the Freedom Caucus got to work they squeaked a bill through the House and sent it to the Senate, where it was dismissed by the Lords of the Senate, and they FINALLY began to work on their own version of repeal and replace. Shades of the House of Representatives, now the leadership (and I use the term derisively) had to pull their bill because they figured out they did not have the votes!

It is a good thing for McConnell and Ryan they are not on the Apprentice -Trump can’t say YOU’RE FIRED! and bring in someone else to lead in both houses. I do not understand why they want to continue to control our health care anyway, why not repeal all the garbage that Obamacare put in place, return health care to the people and the doctors to work out. I cannot find one word in the Constitution that leads me to think that the Federal Government has any role to play in health care for the nation. Of course I cannot see where they have any role in Education either, that was put in place to appease some power lobby that helped elect what used to be considered the worst President of all time, Jimmy Carter. He is the one who did that, and none of the executives have had the guts to repeal that mess either.

It is past time for the federal government to get out of our lives and our pockets and get back to what the Constitution says they have the authority to actually do. We in the Constitution Party believe in limited government. Limited by the Constitution, any law that does not meet muster under the Constitution is illegal and needs to be repealed. Of course we also have cowards and democrats on the SCOTUS, just look at the contortions the Court took in order to saddle us with Obamacare. Justice(?) Roberts voted to keep this abortion of a law, by turning a fine into a tax so that it would not kill the entire bill.

The truth is we are ruled by 9 people in robes, if it was 8 I would call it an oligarchy, in cahoots with the life time power mongers in the bureaucracy, un-elected scoundrels who cannot be fired, and who are the actual law makers in Washington, since the legislators gave up their duty to legislate and gave it over to the bureaucracy to make rules which become laws. We the people then pay the price for a government run amok, I wonder how many of these so-called legislators actually have read the Constitution of the United States which they have sworn to protect and defend.

Join me, vote Constitution Party, Join the Party, we need those of you who are true patriots. Those of you who have read the Constitution and who understand how much of our lives have been taken over by the double dealing scoundrels in Washington D. C. and want to change the country back to the Republic it was founded to be.

In the Breaking of the Bread

In the gospel of Luke the 24th Chapter beginning in verse 13, two of the disciples had left Jerusalem and were traveling to a small town about 7 miles from there called Emmaus. As they walked they spoke with each other about what had happened to Jesus. I imagine they were in a bit of shock, and mourning the loss of their dear friend and mentor. Also they had thought that the Messiah would be a warrior and would defeat the Romans and set Israel up as the center of the world.

A man joins them on the way, and acts like he has no clue about what had happened, they proceed to tell him as they walk along. Then he tells them what the scriptures say about the Messiah and that what happened was foretold. When they get to Emmaus, they invite the man to eat with them, and, as they are eating the stranger takes the bread and breaks it. Immediately, they recognize Jesus.

In 1989 I went on a Walk to Emmaus weekend, I was pastoring a small church at the time, and went on this weekend because some friends wanted me to, I didn’t really expect much to come of it but I went anyway. It was a life changing experience, I learned what this Jesus thing was really all about. More importantly, I began to understand better the working of the Holy Spirit in my life. Gifts and graces are a part of all believers, they are a gift of God. Of course we also had the scriptures opened to us on that weekend and as a Pastor, I learned a lot on that weekend that had not been taught at seminary.

I also came to understand the walk in the context of Cleopas and his fellow disciple as they recognized Jesus in the breaking of the bread. We worshipped and broke bread (holy communion) many times on that weekend. As we did so the reality of that service of remembrance called Lord’s Supper, Holy Communion, Eucharist, and we came to understand that although it is bread and wine (grape juice), the Lord is present with us. I know that Christ is with me as I walk on this journey, through life and on into eternity. It is my prayer that like me, you too experience the presence of Christ with you.

I hope you will read this story again in Luke 24:13-35, learn of the journey, the short one in this story and the life journey in the scriptures. If you don’t know Christ, take the time to meet him, you might just have a life changing experience also. If you do know him have you recognized him in the Breaking of the Bread?
