This is a scary article, in that it shows that no place on earth is truly safe from coercive State powers. We here in the USA have a Bill of Rights in our Constitution, yet our Government has consistently trampled on that section of the Constitution. Australia does not have any such Bill in their Constitution so they cannot fight these draconian laws.

I appears that we will not be able to do much in our own country as we come closer to even more surveillance through the “Internet of Things” as government can spy on us through every article that is hooked up to the internet. Do you have an electronic home? Is your refrigerator and your phone hooked into the internet? NSA, and DIA can see what you are eating, and how you use your phone. If you have a “Smart Meter” for electricity, they can see how much you use and can control your use.
You think NSA spying was bad, it will be 100 times worse now, and of course if you are a part of the Smart device generation, they can even curtail your use if they think you are using too much power. Complete control over our lives is coming very quickly. Obama has really worked hard at changing our nation into a socialist one and soon it will be just exactly that.
