Seems that the Lamestream media still doesn’t realize that their fear mongering is behind the times by a whopping amount. The left just wants so badly to control people, that they don’t care whether it is true or not, as long as they can scare us into doing what they want.

ISTOOK: Our homicide rate is lowest since 1963, so somebody please tell the media! – Washington Times.

Abortion – What is the Cost?

A study has been done by Dr. James Studnicki, professor of Public Health Sciences at Univ. of North Carolina, and his colleagues Sharon J. MacKinnon and John W. Fisher. They used data from 2008 which was a national study of pregnancy outcomes. The cost of abortion is of course the death of innocent life because of decisions made by people. The real story of all this carnage is that over 50 million babies have been killed in the years since Roe v. Wade. Here are some other stats that may make you sit up and take notice.

The study looked at pregnancy outcomes from 1990 – 2008 the highlights of this study are:
64.6% of pregnancies ended in a live birth, 18.4% ended in abortion.
The overall pregnancy rate for non-Hispanic black women (144.3 per 1000) was 65% higher than for non-Hispanic white women (87.5 per 1000). In other words black women have an average of more pregnancies in a lifetime (4.3) than white women (2.7).
While 69% of white pregnancies resulted in a live birth, only 49% of black pregnancies let to live births. The abortion rate for white women was 12.4% and the rate for black women was 35.6% almost three times higher. That says that even though their pregnancy rate is higher the black pregnancy is much less likely to result in a live birth.

So what does that really mean? Let us look at the usual metric which is used to measure premature death, it is called Years of Potential Life Lost (YPLL). If we accept the idea one of the reasons for preventable premature death is abortion, the study comes to the conclusion that abortion accumulates more years of preventable premature death than all other causes of death combined. What they found was that for non-Hispanic whites, abortions contributed 59% of total years of potential life lost, while, for non-Hispanic blacks, abortions contributed 76% of total years lost. The conclusion is that induced abortion is the overwhelmingly predominant contributing cause of preventable potential lives lost, and that non-Hispanic blacks are the most affected.

Another report in this vein was from New York City Dept. of Health, they found that more black babies were killed by abortion in the city than were born there in 2012, more than half of all black pregnancies were aborted. It seems to me that a life lost to abortion is therefore less important than a life lost to cancer, yet it does not make sense that we hide the truth about death in our communities from abortion. We get ourselves all tied up in knots over the fact that cancer, heart disease and other disease factors cause death, and ignore that truth about abortion.

It seems that we are willing to continue in this vein, and blame poverty and social status issues for the problems in both the black and latina women who are the predominant abortion clients and ignore the truth, that our moral decline is a big reason for these statistics. We are rapidly becoming a morally bankrupt nation, and as long as we think it is OK to destroy human life rather than grant that human life has sacred worth, we will continue down this self-destructive path. The book of Proverbs 14:34 says this: “Righteousness exalts a nation, But sin is a reproach to any people.” In his letter to the Church at Rome the apostle says this: Rom 3:23 ” for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” and in 6:23 “for the wages of sin is death,” it seems to me that it is way past time to stop being foolish about what we are doing, it is time for repentance and a turning away from our sinful lives before the God’s judgment comes down of our nation. The Jewish people were exiled for 2000 years, Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed for their sinful ways. We keep saying “God bless America”, but why should God bless a nation steeped in sin and degradation?

Why does this Federal Department need submachine guns? Their job is to help farmers and ranchers produce food for people, not like the BLM to send jack booted troops to attack a man for letting his cattle graze on their grass. Of course the government has taken people into custody for drinking milk they got from their own cows, and for eating food from their own farms. But that can’t be why they need submachine guns.

Of course it may very well be why they need these weapons, if some rancher is eating meat raised on his ranch, or some farmer eats some of his corn that he grew, they may need to kick in his door and arrest him for this gross misuse of his crops. Or maybe it is because a farmer is not allowing some of his land to lie fallow for a few years to collect payment for not growing crops?
The USDA mission statement reads: “To expand economic opportunity through innovation, helping rural America to thrive; to promote agriculture production sustainability that better nourishes Americans while also helping feed others throughout the world; and to preserve and conserve our Nation’s natural resources through restored forests, improved watersheds, and healthy private working lands.” To accomplish this they need .40 caliber submachine guns???? This government is progressively arming itself with high powered weapons, and millions of rounds of ammunition, but they also intend to disarm private, law-abiding citizens. Maybe that is why they need these submachine guns, to help disarm you and me.

Dan Patrick is the true conservative candidate in this race, and although Dewhurst is not a liberal, he is also not one to stand for true conservative values. I too support Dan Patrick in this race.
