Samuel Adams one of the Founding Fathers of our nation wrote an interesting piece in regard to Militia as opposed to Standing Armies if you click on the link you will be taken to a copy of his treatise.
It is time we understand what the founders meant when the wrote the Second Amendment to our Constitution, this is only one of a number of letters and statements that have been preserved for future generations to understand what was thought and meant by our founders.
