I received an email today from a cousin, it was about a prayer that had been delivered to the Kansas Senate in January 1996. The Pastor of a Christian Church in Kansas was expected to pray in generalities and platitudes, instead he spoke truth to power. He spoke the words that God had given him to speak, and did so fearlessly and powerfully. His words are words that should be heard from our pulpits across the land in many ways on every Lord’s Day, for as the prophet Isaiah said in
Isa 6:5 NKJV So I said: “Woe is me, for I am undone! Because I am a man of unclean lips, And I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; For my eyes have seen the King, The LORD of hosts.“
Our nation has become a nation of people of unclean lips, blaspheming the Lord God of Hosts. Approving of sexual immorality, and idolatry. Our nation worships at the altar of SELF ignoring the truth of the Word of God, we allow a pantheon of gods and speak of multiculturalism, when there is only one God! Perversion is becoming the way of life, or as some say, alternative lifestyle. We exploit the poor, with lotteries and gambling. Welfare is become the way we reward those who refuse to work, along with “disability”. Since when did alcohol or drug addiction become disability? We kill children in the womb forgetting that life is a gift of God, not something that is an inconvenience. We allow our government to take away our liberties, God-given liberties, so that we may have a little security. If we give up our freedom for security, we don’t deserve either one.
Our politicians are addicted to power and they abuse that power, but we say, it’s only politics. We have allowed the airwaves of TV and Radio to be filled with putrid language, and pornographic trash, but of course it’s just freedom of speech.
Please know this America. God will not be mocked, a day is coming when our God will bring Justice upon this nation, when there will be war and ruin and our nation will pay the price for apostasy. I life this nation before God and pray that people will come to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, but I know that most will not and I grieve for those who will spend eternity in hell.
