I am amazed that the progressives are working so hard to shut Rush Limbaugh up, there is a concerted effort to get him off the air. Yet I don’t see any “outrage” when these people say that Sarah Palin is, well Bill Maher said the two four letter words in regard to her, and neither of them were slut. Montel Williams can say that he hopes Michelle Bachmann will slit her wrists, yet there were no cries for the his sponsors to leave his show.

The reality here is not that Rush said something that should not be said in polite company, or on the public airways, the truth is this is about the Progressives trying to force those who believe that killing babies is wrong into doing so anyway. You see this all started because Ms. Fluke testified before Congress about the high cost of contraceptives, of course it only cost $9.00 at Target just a mile from her school, but that wasn’t her point, she was and is an activist for the Abortion (kill the children) industry.

I still don’t understand why an innocent child is to blame for the actions of the adults that caused this pregnancy anyway. You see, we keep talking about choice, about the woman’s right to choose. Well the choice was made when the woman and man chose to have sex without contraception (which is really cheap), a box of condoms is only a couple of dollars, and, as already shown, target sells womens contraceptives for only $9.00 for a 30 day supply. As for Rush Limbaugh, I did not like what he said, but I defend his right to say it, I also don’t like when the Progressives say these thing, but also defend their right to say it. It is after all one of those Free Speech things that the Progressive cause likes to tout, when it is their side saying these things, but never free speech when it is a Conservative person saying them.

By the way, when does Sarah Palin or Michelle Bachmann get a phone call of support from the President? I mean if Ms. Fluke can get a call when she is insulted, turn about should be seen as fair play, I would think, and of course our President keeps speaking of fair treatment for all persons, so where is the fairness for Laura Ingraham, Michelle Malkin and the other conservative women who have been cursed and maligned by the people who are his supporters? Perhaps it is time to begin calling those companies who support progressives such as Time Warner and HBO and others, and cancel our subscriptions to their services, as Rush Limbaugh’s sponsors were harrassed by those on the progressive side, trying to shut Rush up.

It is time for the “fairness” to work both ways, it is time for those who hate to wake up and smell the burnt ground they are leaving in their quest to shut up anyone who does not agree with them. A schorched earth policy is not a good policy, it tends to burn longer than you expected it to and it might just find it’s way into your own back yard.

Of course I did grow up in a different time frame, being born in 1945, I am not a part of that, “me first” generation that came after us, that has taught itself that the world and the universe revolves around itself. It is time for the hateful rhetoric to end, it is time to return to a more civilized time, when you could disagree with each other without trying to destroy each other, but rather to hold a conversation in which both listen and speak after hearing the other. Right now all we hear is a cacophony of noise from the progressive side, and an attempt to speak softly from the conservative side, apologizing for the slight, (which of course was not accepted), and trying to move the conversation into quieter and saner discourse. We still need to find a way to allow people of conscience to be able to live by their faith instead of forcing them to live by the rules that the state puts down, even though the state is exceeding its power in doing so.
